How to turn your business idea into reality
- o Call your nearest LIBSA office to arrange an interview
o At the interview, complete the Application Form for you inclusion onto the LIBSA database
o LIBSA will profile and classify your potential business (i.e. micro, small or medium)
o LIBSA will provide you with the relevant business support* (i.e. training, mentoring, linkages, business plan, incubation, etc)
o LIBSA will follow up with you on a monthly basis.
*Should your business support requirements not fall within the scope of LIBSA services, you will be referred to the relevant institutions.
How to register your business
- o The client selects 5 business names and submits them to LIBSA (CK7 form), which LIBSA then sends to CIPRO.
o CIPRO checks the availability of the names selected in their database of registered businesses. The name that is not already in use by another business is selected and reserved by CIPRO for 3 months.
o LIBSA contacts the client to inform him/her that the name has been reserved. The client is then advised to complete the business registration form (CK1)
o CIPRO provides the Business Registration Certificate to LIBSA, which will then be given to the client.
This process takes four to five weeks.
Tax Registration
- * Enterprises are advised to register for both VAT and income tax in order to qualify for procurement opportunities in both public and private sector institutions.
* Over the years LIBSA has assisted more than 1000 enterprises with business registration services, thereby ensuring their compliance with business regulations and tax laws.
How to Finance your business
- o LIBSA provides non-financial support services free of charge
o We provide easy access to essential business development services, including referrals to financial institions. We contribute to the reform of the financial and social sectors.
o LIBSA has a core responsibility to facilitate access to finance in Limpopo Province for existing and start-up businesses. Finance is mainly in the form of loans from commercial banks, development corporations and grants from municipalities, local and international donors as well government departments.
